Hi, Iām Lauren!
Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients through moments of growth, healing, and transformation. I believe that, at our core, we all want to feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted for who we truly are.
Every person carries a story shaped by their experiences, relationships, culture, values, and strengths. As a therapist, my role is not to define you by your struggles or a diagnosis, but to take the time to understand the whole person sitting across from me. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you can show up as your authentic self, without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out.
I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the challenges that life can bring. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, family conflict, or simply feeling overwhelmed by a season of change, I believe you deserve support that feels compassionate and personalized. There is no single path to healing, and therapy should never feel like a one-size-fits-all experience. My goal is to meet you where you are, whether that means supporting you individually, helping you and your partner reconnect, or working with your family to create healthier patterns of communication and connection, while helping you discover the strengths and possibilities that already exist within you.
My professional experience includes working in community mental health, outpatient treatment, and private practice, where I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and life experiences. These experiences have deepened my belief that meaningful healing can happen when we feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and fully ourselves. I am committed to creating an affirming, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed environment where you feel valued, respected, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), while always recognizing that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we can explore not only what you're struggling with, but also the relationships, experiences, values, hopes, and dreams that make you who you are.
I believe healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's about reconnecting with yourself. The parts of you that may have been buried beneath pain, trauma, self-doubt, expectations, or simply the demands of everyday life. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you've been carrying, and begin creating a life that feels more authentic and meaningful to you.
My hope is that our work together helps you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, reconnect with your strengths, build healthier relationships, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are and who you want to become.
You don't have to navigate it all alone. Wherever you are in your journey, I would be honored to meet you there.
